Hey y’all welcome to my blog where I post Recipes for amazing culinary delicacies, including the delightful Hershey Cherry Cupcakes. Join me as we express inquiry into the Culinary world. Through Entrees, Fine dining plating, a la carte, and baked goods.

Hershey Cherry Cupcakes are such a step up to a traditional cupcake as the elements are accentuated, and more technique and detail are exhibited.

The Cupcakes are relatively simple to make with only one additional instruction in making the compote from Fresh Dark cherries and lemon juice. perfect for creating Hershey Cherry Cupcakes.

Ingredients-

Cupcake Mix– any traditional store brand works

Frosting- I just bought a container of pre-made frosting for this process to take a shorter amount of time- but if you have a standard mix, do a 1:2 ratio for confectioner sugar to heavy creamer.

Cherries– Essential for the sauce and garnish, they are what the entire Hershey Cherry Cupcake festivity is about!

lemon– Provides the acidity which breaks down the cherry and also adds a nice sour note. I prefer fresh squeezed.

Cinnamon- Used in the batter and topping, cinnamon is my favorite spice and just adds a nice kick to the flavor profile of the dessert.

Hershey’s Cacao Powder– For the chocolate essence and, of course, what provides that lovely Red Velvet coloration to the Hershey Cherry Cupcakes.

Room Temperature Coffee- any brand works. I used Starbucks K-cup breakfast blend.

eggs– For the batter to provide rise in the product as well as holding the cupcake together.

Vegetable spray and parchment cupcake liners– so sticking is prevented and they come out conformed.

Piping bag- In the link it will showcase you how to make your own or you can also buy a made one at the store.

Hints to Help.

Scorching your cherries is a possibility if setting on high heat, make sure that it’s low medium, and constantly stir to prevent burning.

A great way of testing for doneness in your Hershey Cherry Cupcakes is to use a toothpick, and if it comes out clean then the batter is baked.

Wash, de-pit, and take off the stem for your cherries before simmering them!

Do not add the cherry compote to the frosting while it’s hot, otherwise it will ruin the structure of the frosting.

Do not add hot coffee to the batter as the same applies; this Hershey Cherry Cupcakes recipe is all about temperature control and patience! Haha.

Keep dry ingredients and wet ingredients separate; otherwise clumping and uniform cooking can occur.

Let the cupcakes rest before applying frosting as it can melt.
