Origins

Huevos Rancheros has its origins in rural Mexico where farmers often had many of the main staples such as beans, Eggs, and tortillas. So it was bound in time the products would intertwine and create our beloved dish!

Ingredients

Pinto Refried Beans- I use Rosarita Refried beans. You don’t need to add any seasonings as the beans have a nice flavor for your Huevos Rancheros dish.

Fried eggs- Make to the amount your serving. I prefer mine over easy as the runny yolk just makes the product that much more tasty while making Huevos Rancheros.

Tostada- Store bought is easy but You can also fry your tortillas at home for authentic Huevos Rancheros.

Salsa- Roast some onions, tomato, and garlic with olive oil. and you have an amazing salsa

Chorizo- As the chorizo cooks in its own fat

Cilantro Garnish- Adds a nice touch of green

Cotija Cheese – Cheese is essential and I feel like this adds the best flavor, Authenticity and texture to Huevos Rancheros.
